WBCOOP Day 8: The last meters

Two more days to go till the end of WBCOOP 2013, and I have 3 more interesting events to play.

Yesterday it was a WBCOOP full day with plenty of action. I played two tournaments, a PLO 6-max and a NLH with antes from the first level.

Event #22. Omaha isn't my game though I enjoy playing every time I get the opportunity. Unfortunately (or fortunately  LOL) I get this chances only at big events, and only as freeroll, or invitational. This time was WBCOOP's time :).

About Omaha I know few things but I know them well. I know about starting hands and I read first chapters from the best (in my opinion) Pot Limit Omaha guide existing on the web.

The tournament didn't last very long for me. I reached the first break folding most of the hands in crazy situations, waiting for my spot to come.

Just few hand after the game restarted I get a good starting hand  and I decided to play it very aggressive. At my left it was a loose player with a big stack and I knew I can bet him for value most of the time, being aware that he can stack me off with marginal hands if he hit the board (few situations).

My raise preflop was met by a call from villain as expected. Here, as calculator says I have 76% chance to win the pot.
Flop was good for my opponent. I tried to get value from overpairs and draws, maybe even some 9 pair and I want to put all my money in the middle with 37% chances to take down the pot.
The cards didn't run well for me and I was busted.
Perhaps I overplayed my hand, but I'm a little confused in this situation. I will post the hand in my community and learn from it.

Event #23. After PLO where I merely "touched the ball", I was in the mood for fighting, and a tournament with antes, dead chips, from the start was the perfect game for me. RNG was good from the start with my intentions providing me  starting hands like AA or KK. Unfortunately, the other players didn't have real hands to join me, and the result wasn't the expected one.
Till first break I played like 25% of the hands dealt to me (VPIP 25) and my stack fluctuated, ups and downs.
Just like in Omaha Event, I get a good situation preflop and all my chips were in the middle no time.

Ana Kournikova hand (AKo) held against AQo and I doubled up climbing in top 100. That was just nothing for my tournament life, because moments after that I run with AKs in pocket Aces and it was all over.

Today is deep play day. I can hardly wait :)
